Life Science - Research

We satisfy our claim of understanding newest technologies and make it available for our customers with our own intensive research activities.
Together with our scientific partners we work on research projects which save long term potentials for economic solutions in the future.

Plasmose - New, automated cell based assay for pyrogenic substances
Goal of the project is the development and the automatisation of a new cell based assay for detection of pyrogenioc substances. We work in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute IBG, Stuttgart. In addition a new Life Cyle Software for the tracking of medical instrumentation during sterilisation will be developed.

  • Project schedule: 2005 - 2007
    (founded by the BMBF)

Influence of heat shock proteins in wound healing
Goal of the project is the development of a new diagnostic assay for the use in wound healing. Our Partner is the University of Tübingen (Prof. Rammensee). The new test system is to offer treatment monitoring and prognostic statement of healing success.

  • Project schedule: 2002-2006
    (founded by the BMBF)

QCM Biosensor (Mass Sensitive Quartz Technology)
The project consortium consists of the universities of Tübingen and Saarbrücken, the companies Hettich GmbH & Co.KG, Medion Diagnostics GmbH and the Hölle & Hüttner AG. The Hölle & Hüttner AG is one of the major investigators in realization of this new  technology. With this system immunologic reactions can be detected with very few amounts of material and within a very short time. The first routine application will be the detection of blood groups of human patients.

  • Project schedule: Started in 2003

BioLane™ Operating System Application Packages & Database Interface
BioLane™ OS provides a configurable database user interface. The front end can be used on Windows platforms.

  • Project schedule: 1999-2002 up to now ongoing optimization and usage in projects

Automatic statement of chemcals in environment according DIN-ISO-Norm 8692
Goal of the project is the miniaturization and automation of the algae growth test. The project team consits of the University Hospital of  Aachen and the companies Henkel KG and Polygen GmbH.

  • Project schedule: 1999-2003
(founded by the Deutsche Umwelt Stiftung DBU)

ERNTE Research Network Automation and Evaluation Software (ERNTE Erprobung und Vorbereitung einer praktischen Nutzung ökotoxikologischer Testsysteme)
Goal of the project is the test and the practical use of biotests. The project team consists of the University Hospital of Aachen and the Fraunhofer Institute of Schmalenberg. Hölle & Hüttner AG takes the part of creating a new automation and evaluation software. The informatic technology uses BioLane™ OS.

  • Project schedule: 2002-2004
    (founded by the BMBF)
